being teased

I think all my subs seem to have teased me - and that continues to this day!

I rather enjoy it. I think some Doms can take themselves far too seriously. I feel it shows self confidence in my position as Dom - but others may feel that being teased by their sub undermines the nature of their relationship.

Perhaps some would say I am not taking it seriously enough.

I would much rather be known for my good-natured humanity and sense of humor, than for how strict and always in control I can be. These are relationships between people; and people joke, and cajole, and tease, and mock, and tickle, and laugh, and generally carry on, it is an essential part of a healthy relationship.

The fact that I, as the dominant, retain the ultimate authority to make decisions and control the ebb and flow, should not mean that there is not fun to be had. How much fun it is to see a girl giggle uncontrollable after having teased me about one of my foibles, when I have bristled about having been caught at my game.

Life is too short to be taken seriously.

Thank you David. I think that sums it up perfectly!

I get so much joy in teasing my Master. Some of my favorite times spent with him are when I have broken into a fit of giggles after some incident passes between us. I love seeing the look on his face turn from a serious Dom to a warm smile when he starts to laugh with me then tackles me in his arms. I think all BDSM relationships should have that dichotomy... its fantastic.

Hell, if they didn't tease me I'd wouldn't have as many great opportunities to pay 'em back. :)

I think it shows your self confidence as a dom too. Anyone, not just doms, who can't take a bit of teasing must be lacking in self confidence and taking themselves far too seriously imo.
Thank goodness my owner has the self assurance to take my good natured cheekiness and teasing! (Even if I do get a playful swat for it now & again :)

if my dominant could NOT take some ribbing, some light hearted teasign, then I would question his real strength... laughter is a great way to connect after all. teasing in particular is usually only undertaken when somenone is comfortable, confident and secure in their relationship....

I believe that any relationship needs laughter to feed it...to make it grow. After all, if it's not fun, then what's the point?

Thank you whisperingsoftly. I think there are a number of ways of following blogs through readers and feeds and suchlike - Blogger seems to have its own special way that I have not made use of as yet!

I have found though that friends who follow this blog via a feed miss out on the comments - and I think they are by far the most interesting part of this blog! If you get stuck on this though do send me an email and I will try to be more helpful. Or other readers may be kind enough to advise you.

I am pleased though that you and roughlyapril agree that relationships need laughter and play.

Otherwise as carolynn says ...

"what's the point?"
